How to Configure Automatic Flight Notifications in Superbuilder
Automatically keep travelers and team members informed about flight changes, gate updates, and baggage carousel information.

Superbuilder allows you to configure automatic flight notifications so that your travelers, team members, and other relevant contacts can stay informed about important flight updates.

You can choose which notifications to send, who should receive them, and whether flight changes should automatically update the client-facing itinerary.

How to Access Flight Notification Settings

  1. Open your Superbuilder Calendar Itinerary.
  2. Navigate to the Itinerary tab.
  3. Click More Options on the right side, then click Flight Notifications.
  4. Configure your notification preferences.
  5. Save your settings.

Automatically Update the Client-Facing Itinerary

You can choose whether detected flight changes should automatically update the flight information displayed on your client-facing itinerary.

This gives you control over how changes are communicated and helps keep your travelers' trip information up to date.

Configure Email Notifications

You can also choose whether email notifications should be sent when flight updates occur. To send emails, check Send email notification.

Notification options include:

  • Flight changes
  • Gate changes
  • Baggage carousel changes

You have control over who receives these updates, but gate and baggage carousel updates only go to travelers.

Send Push Notifications to Travelers

Under Notify via push notification, check Travelers attached to the file. Travelers with the app installed get flight updates on their phone. (NEW text, add this)

Choose Who Receives Notifications

You can send flight notifications to different people involved in the trip, including:

  • Yourself
  • The file owner
  • Sales consultants
  • Travelers
  • Other specified contacts

For example, you might want a traveler to receive flight updates while also notifying their transfer driver if an arrival flight changes.

This helps keep everyone involved in the trip informed without requiring you to manually forward flight updates.

When Do Flight Notifications Begin?

Flight notifications are available beginning 72 hours before the scheduled flight time.

Keep this window in mind when configuring notifications and planning how you'll communicate flight information to travelers.

Save Your Preferences as Defaults

If you typically use the same notification settings across your itineraries, you can save your preferences as defaults.

This means you won't need to configure the same notification options every time you create a new itinerary.

  1. Open Flight Notifications and choose your settings.
  2. Click Set As Default.
  3. Under Set For, choose Myself Only or Whole Team.
  4. Click Save.

Myself Only saves the defaults for your own new itineraries. Whole Team saves them for everyone on your account.

📌 Note: Only users with the Manage team-wide settings permission can choose Whole Team. Users without it can still save defaults for themselves. Learn more in Manage Team-Wide Itinerary Settings.

Good to know:

  • Defaults only apply to new itineraries. Itineraries you already created won't change.
  • If a team member has saved their own personal default, theirs is used instead of the team default.
  • If Me is checked in a team default, notifications go to whoever creates each itinerary.

Example: Notify a Traveler & Transfer Driver

Let's say your traveler has a scheduled airport transfer, and you want both the traveler and driver to know if the arrival flight changes.

  1. Open Flight Notification Settings.
  2. Check Send email notification.
  3. Choose whether the client-facing itinerary should be updated.
  4. Select the traveler as a notification recipient.
  5. Turn on Someone else and add the driver’s email.
  6. Save your settings.

The driver gets time changes. Gate and baggage carousel updates only go to travelers. This helps ensure that everyone has the latest flight information when it matters most.

Tip: Review your notification recipients before publishing an itinerary, particularly if you've included external contacts such as drivers or local representatives.
