Quick Takeaways

  • Rachel walked through everything that has just launched in the Contacts Module, what is coming next, and a reminder that our Travel Dashboard Showcase is still open for entries.
  • A new Preferences tab. Health and dietary details and general preferences now have separate homes on a Contact Profile, with six preferences preloaded for you. Every field on the Preferences, Health & Dietary and Documents tabs is now a smart field.
  • Trip Preferences and Travel Wishlist behave differently. Trip Preferences is a fixed starting list that you edit yourself under Manage List. Travel Wishlist pulls in from the travel region list on your expanded File information section the first time you open a contact, and stops syncing once you edit it there.
  • The list on a contact profile controls your form options. Whatever you set under Manage List is exactly what clients can choose from when you add that field to a Custom Form. Editing a list from inside one contact changes that field everywhere it is used.
  • Smart fields cut out the admin. When a client fills in their real preferences on a form, the answers write straight back to their contact profile, so you can find what you need when you need it.
  • Fill in the information section on your expanded Files. Source and trip type are both lists you can customize, and they feed a lot of your reporting later on.
  • Better Partner Agent filtering. You can now filter and sort Partner Agents by company, host agency, custom tags and affiliations, so you can pull up everyone under one host agency or consortium at once.
  • Even more Supplier filters. Filter Suppliers by company name, affiliation, destination or region, and supplier type. Destinations, regions and supplier types are all lists you control, so your types can be DMC, experience provider, transfer driver, property, or whatever fits the way you work.
  • A new external ID and internal contact ID. Both were added to make the Zapier integration more reliable. Matching on IDs instead of name and email means a contact stays linked to its counterpart in another system even if their name changes.
  • Loyalty program smart fields, just launched. Contact profiles now have a Loyalty Programs section on the left, preloaded with a long list you can add to or edit under Manage List. Add it to a custom form as a smart field and your client's answers save straight to their profile.
  • Coming soon: faster filtering, smarter contact owners, tighter permissions. Contacts filters are being rebuilt to match the ones on your Files Dashboard. Contact owners will import directly, pick up the sales consultants on a File, allow more than one owner per contact, and support filtering and segments. Account Admins will then be able to limit which contacts each user can see.
  • Coming soon: custom contact fields. You will be able to build your own fields on contact profiles beyond the existing system fields, make them smart, and pull them into your forms. Rachel expects all of the above within the next four to six weeks.
  • ๐Ÿ† The Travel Dashboard Showcase deadline has been extended. Submissions so far have been beautiful, and there is still time to enter. Email any Travel Dashboard you are proud of to [email protected]. Client details are stripped before anything is shared, and the top two or three go to a community vote to crown our first best travel dashboarder.
  • From the Q&A. Shoe and shirt size cannot be hidden from the Preferences tab yet, although you can leave them blank and keep them out of your forms. Family bookings still need a profile each, since a contact is defined by first name, last name and email. The current workaround is separate adult and child forms linked together from the submission page.
