• In this webinar, Safari Portal and Clint Meyers of Redpoint Travel Protection walked through the new insurance offering and the expanded ways to offer coverage and earn commission on every policy sold.
• There are now two plans to choose from. The Essential Plan was custom-built for the Safari Portal community — significantly cheaper than most market policies at roughly 6.5% of trip cost, with $50,000 in medical, strong evacuation coverage, and ~16 covered cancellation reasons.
• The Essential Plan is age-agnostic — whether a client is 25, 55, or 85, the price is the same, which is especially meaningful for older travelers who normally face sticker shock.
• The new Premier Plan offers more robust coverage for higher-value trips — up to $1 million in evacuation, higher medical limits, and 32 covered reasons. For trips over $50,000 per person, only the Premier Plan is surfaced, since the Essential Plan no longer applies.
• Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) is available as an upcharge, reimbursing up to 75% of insured trip cost. Clients must add it within 15 days of their initial trip deposit, and Redpoint does not require insuring 100% of the trip to qualify.
• There are three ways to offer insurance. The two recommended routes are Travel Dashboards and Bookable Trips, with the Guest Portal remaining as a legacy option.
• On a Travel Dashboard, add a Travel Insurance card (ideally after a Forms card) so traveler details pre-populate the quote flow. A blue umbrella icon on the File confirms a client has secured coverage.
• With a Bookable Trip, insurance is offered at the exact moment of deposit. Clients can't complete checkout without seeing the offer and either purchasing or selecting continue at my own risk — minimizing follow-up.
• You earn meaningful commission on every policy sold. Rates are tailored to each partner and travel volume, and Redpoint aims to meet or exceed your current provider's terms.
• What makes Redpoint different: assistance and claims are managed entirely in-house (one number, often the same person handling your case), claims can process in as little as 5–6 days, and coverage is available to US and non-US residents alike.
