How does Safari Portal handle data security and privacy?
A guide to Safari Portal's data privacy, security practices, and client data ownership

Safari Portal takes your data protection and its system reliability seriously. Below is a detailed overview of the security practices, privacy protocols, and data ownership measures we have in place to ensure your information is safe, secure, and ethically handled.

What privacy protocols and compliance frameworks does Safari Portal follow?

We adhere to all major privacy protocols, including GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act).

Are there any security certifications in place?

While we do not currently hold formal certifications like SOC 2 or ISO 27001, our team follows industry best practices to maintain a high standard of security, including secure development processes, regular internal audits, role-based access controls (RBAC), and employee security training.

How is sensitive traveler data protected?

We use multiple layers of protection to keep data safe both in transit and at rest. All data transmitted between clients, services, and our infrastructure is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Access to this data is restricted based on role-based access controls (RBAC), and all access is logged and monitored. Sensitive data is stored in encrypted form on AWS S3.

What redundancy measures are in place?

We implement multiple redundancy and resilience strategies to ensure data availability and integrity in the event of system or network failures. We perform automated, regular backups of all critical data. Our systems are deployed in a redundant, multi-zone cloud environment, which allows for automatic failover in case of server or network failures. We also maintain a disaster recovery plan (DRP) and conduct real-time monitoring and alerting, allowing us to detect issues immediately and respond proactively.

Do you offer SLAs or uptime guarantees?

While we do not currently offer formal SLAs or uptime guarantees, we are committed to delivering highly reliable and stable service to our clients. Our infrastructure is built with redundancy, monitoring, and auto-scaling capabilities to ensure high availability, and we proactively respond to incidents to minimize downtime. We have historically had 99.9% uptime.

Who owns the data entered into Safari Portal?

You own your data. Client contact data stored in the Contacts module can be exported at any time. If you choose to end your relationship with Safari Portal, you will be able to retrieve your data before closing your account.

How is client data protected against access or misuse?

Client data, including contact information and proprietary content, is never accessed, shared, or sold. We maintain strict internal policies to ensure your information stays private and fully under your control, both during your subscription and after it ends.
