How Files in Safari Portal Connect to the Travel Portal App
Understand how different pipelines like Leads, Planning, Traveling, and Archived affect what travelers see in the app.

We’ve been very intentional about how Itineraries, Lookbooks, and Guest Portals connect with the Travel Portal app dashboard.

  • In the traveler app, the dashboard has three main tabs: Upcoming, Past, Archived.
  • On the agent dashboard, files move through six pipelines: Leads, Planning, Confirmed, Traveling, Completed, Archived.

So, how does a file’s status on your agent dashboard determine where it appears in the traveler-facing app?

Here are the rules:

Agent Pipeline → App Behavior

Planning

  • Lookbooks always appear under Upcoming.
  • Itineraries in Planning or Archived still appear under Upcoming.
  • Itineraries in Planning show Status: Planning in the app.
  • If trip dates are in the past (even if still in Planning), the file automatically moves to Past in the app.

Confirmed

  • Files in Confirmed are displayed under the Upcoming tab with travel dates and a countdown to departure.

Traveling

  • Files in Traveling appear at the top of the Upcoming tab with a tag: Current Trip.

Completed

  • Files in Completed move to the Past tab in the app.

Archived

  • Moving a file to Archived on the agent dashboard does not archive it in the app.
  • To remove it from the app, the file must be deactivated.

Removing Files from the App

  • Within the app, travelers can move Itineraries to Archived and delete them from there. This does not affect the agent dashboard pipeline.
  • If an agent deactivates an Itinerary in the dashboard, it will no longer appear in the app.

Traveler Controls

  • Clients can archive trips in the app, but this does not change the file’s pipeline in the agent dashboard.
