Help! I added credit card surcharge fees but they are not being charged!
A guide to adding credit card surcharges to your invoices.

 

They key to setting up card surcharging through Safari Portal is not enabling any card payment option directly in Stripe. When any card payment type - Klarna, Affirm, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay etc. - is enabled in Stripe, it undermines Safari Portal's ability to control credit card surcharge fees.

 

As long as all card options are switched off in Stripe, you can manage card payments directly within Safari Portal, and take advantage of the built-in card surcharging solution. This allows you to:

 

  • Enable card payments on a per-invoice basis.
  • Apply optional card surcharges as needed.

You can configure these settings under the Payments tab when creating invoices, and save them as part of your Invoice Templates. See the steps below to enable card payments in Safari Portal:
