The Redpoint Travel Insurance integration allows clients to receive an instant travel insurance quote directly within Safari Portal.
Clients can access this:
- From their Guest Portal after completing Guest Forms
- Or from an Itinerary or Lookbook, if the trip has been made bookable
What if Iโm not using Guest Portals?
At the moment, youโll need to either use a Guest Portal or make a trip bookable in order to offer travel insurance.
Making a Lookbook or Itinerary bookable allows you to enable the insurance option on any trip โ without needing to create a Guest Portal. It also allows clients to purchase travel insurance at the same time they pay their deposit.
You can also include your custom forms within this flow, so youโre effectively handling everything in one place:
- Collect client information
- Offer travel insurance at the point of purchase
- Allow clients to securely confirm and pay โ without any back-and-forth
This creates a much more streamlined client experience and significantly reduces follow-up on your end.
Other Option: Offering Travel Insurance via Guest Portals
If youโre only using custom forms and prefer not to make the trip bookable, you can still offer travel insurance through Guest Portals โ however, the option will not appear automatically.
Good news: weโre currently redesigning the Guest Portal experience (coming June 2026). The new version โ Travel Dashboards โ will allow you to:
- Share any custom form with a client and still offer insurance
- Send portals at any stage of the sales process (not just post-confirmation)
- Share via a simple link, without requiring email or passcode login
Workaround for Now (Using Custom Forms)
In the meantime, you can still offer insurance with a small additional step:
Step 1: Send your custom forms as usual
Assign your custom forms to the File and send just like you normally would.
Step 2: Copy guest details into the Guest Portal
Once your clients submit their forms:
- Open the Guest Portal for that file
- Go to the Guest Forms tab
- Use Search Existing Guest to copy their key details into the Guest Portal form
This ensures their information is pre-filled for insurance.
Step 3: Share the Guest Portal just for insurance
You can optionally:
- Rename the portal something like Instant Travel Insurance
- Add a short intro note about the Redpoint coverage
Then send the portal to your clients and let them know all they need to do is click Get Instant Quote โ their information will already be completed.
Alternative: Purchase insurance on behalf of your client
If you are collecting payment details to handle the insurance for them:
- Use a credit card authorization form to gather card details and authorization
- Create the Guest Portal
- Add them using Search Existing Guest
- Click Generate Instant Travel Insurance Quote
- Complete the purchase using their authorized payment method
This workaround keeps the process smooth for clients while we work toward fully supporting insurance through standalone custom forms in the future.
