Easily track profitability by File in Safari Portal’s Financials module by ensuring both client invoices and expenses are properly logged. This gives you a clear, accurate view of profitability—no guesswork needed.
If you have the Flowbrite integration set up, you will also be able to initiate payments through SP as well.
Note: Flowbrite is not available in Africa, China, or Singapore.
Here’s how:
Create Client Invoices
Once invoices are created, the projected profit for the File will initially appear high, since no expenses have been accounted for yet.
Add Expenses to Accurately Calculate Profit
To reflect the actual projected profit, you’ll need to log expenses associated with that File:
- Click Create New in the top right corner.
- Select Create Expense.
- Choose the File that the expense applies to.
- Search for the Supplier you need to pay, or create a new one.
- Enter the payment description, amounts due, and due dates for each installment.
- Click Create Expense.

Attach Supplier Invoices for Accurate Record-Keeping
After creating the expense:
- Click the three dots next to it.
- Select Add Documents.
- Scroll to the bottom and upload any supplier invoices or related documents to keep everything in one place.
- Click Update Expense.
Track When Supplier and Expense Payments Are Due
Utilize the filters on your Dashboard:
- Select the View By Date tab.
- Click the filter icons to apply filters such as due dates, travel dates, payment type, payment status, or even specific currencies and amounts.
- This allows you to easily see how much you owe, how much you've paid, how much anyone has paid you, how much is owed to you, by any individual recipient or group of recipients, over any time period.
Add Files to an Expense
- Click the three dots to the right of the expense name.
- Select Add Documents.
- In the modal, scroll to the Add Documents section.
- Upload the documents.

To view an attachment added to an expense:
- Click the Edit button next to the document.
- Scroll to the Add Documents section.
- Click Edit next to the document name.
- From here you can.
- Rename the document
- Download the document
- View the document.
