Adding an Itinerary Card to a Travel Dashboard
Display an existing itinerary, or create a brand-new one from scratch right inside the card window.

An Itinerary Card lets you display any itinerary from a File as a standalone card on your Travel Dashboard. You can choose an itinerary that already exists, or you can create a brand-new one from scratch right inside the card window, without leaving the dashboard. You can also start from a template instead of a blank itinerary, if you prefer. When guests click the card, the itinerary opens in a new browser tab, making it easy for them to view the complete day-by-day travel plan while keeping the Travel Dashboard as their central hub.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. In the section of your Travel Dashboard where you want to add the card, click the +Add button.
  2. Select Itinerary from the dropdown menu. This opens the Add Itinerary window.
  3. Under Settings, choose whether to enable Table of Contents:
    • On: The card expands to double width and displays the itinerary's table of contents in a scrollable panel on the left, with the cover image and card title on the right.
    • Off (default): The card remains standard width and displays only the cover image and card title.
  4. Under General Information, choose Search Itineraries to use an existing itinerary, or New Itinerary to create a brand-new one.

If You Choose Search Itineraries

  • Choose the File that contains your itinerary using Select File. By default, this is the File associated with the Travel Dashboard, but you can select a different File if needed.
  • Use Select Itinerary to choose the itinerary within that File that you want to display.
  • The Name field automatically populates with the itinerary's name. This is the title that appears on the card, but you can edit it if you'd like a custom name.
  • Click Add Card to save the Itinerary Card to your Travel Dashboard.

If You Choose New Itinerary

  • Choose New from Scratch to start with a blank itinerary, or New from Template to build from one of your own templates or a Safari Portal template.
  • Either option takes you into the normal itinerary editor to build out your itinerary.
  • When you're finished, click Back to Travel Dashboard at the top. Your new itinerary is added to the dashboard as the Itinerary Card automatically.

Tips & Tricks 💥

  • When a guest clicks an Itinerary Card, the itinerary opens in a new browser tab. A Back to Dashboard link at the top of the itinerary makes it easy to return to the Travel Dashboard.
  • The Select Itinerary dropdown only displays itineraries associated with the File selected in Select File.
    • If you can't find the itinerary you're looking for, first confirm that you've selected the correct File.
  • Card titles default to Itinerary if you don't enter a custom name in the Name field.
  • Hover over the card and click the pencil icon to access the edit menu. This dropdown gives you four options:
    • Edit Card changes the card title and settings
    • Edit Itinerary opens the itinerary editor so you can modify the trip details
    • Change Section moves the card to a different section of your Travel Dashboard
    • Delete Card removes the card from your dashboard (a confirmation window will ask if you're sure)
