Can I create multiple chats groups for one File?
How to manage multiple chats within a File.

Safari Portal allows you to create multiple chat groups within a File. Whether you need a separate chat for your clients, internal team members, or suppliers and partner agents, you can manage them all in one place.


Step-By-Step Instructions

From the Messaging Module

  1. Navigate to the Messaging module.
  2. If a chat has already been created, click the File name under Inbox in the left-hand panel to see all chats associated with that File, then click + New Group to create a new group chat.
    1. The total number of chats created for a File is displayed directly beneath the File name.
    2. If a chat has not yet been created, click +Create New to create a new chat.
  3. In the New Chat modal, choose who you would like to add to the chat.
    1. You can select from Partner Agents, Sales Consultants, Suppliers, Trip Leaders, and Travelers already associated with the File.
    2. To associate more people with the File, expand the File → click Information → add Travelers, Partner Agents, Suppliers, Trip Leaders, or Sales Consultants.
    3. If you add someone to a chat after it has been created, they will be able to see the full chat history.
  4. Click Start.


From the Messages Tab in an Expanded File

  1. Navigate to the relevant File on your Dashboard.
  2. Expand the File.
  3. Click Open File Details.
  4. Go to the Messages tab.
  5. Click +New Chat.
    1. You will see all chats associated with the File in the left hand Chat Groups panel under Inbox.
  6. In the New Chat modal, choose who you would like to add to the chat.
    1. You can select from Partner Agents, Sales Consultants, Suppliers, Trip Leaders, and Travelers already associated with the File.
    2. To associate more people with the File, expand the File → click Information → add Travelers, Partner Agents, Suppliers, Trip Leaders, or Sales Consultants.
    3. If you add someone to a chat after it has been created, they will be able to see the full chat history.
  7. Click Start.



Tips & Tricks 💥

  • To add or remove people from a chat, open the chat, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select Add Members or Remove Members.


  • To rename a chat, click the File name in the Inbox, select the chat you want to rename, then click the pencil icon next to the chat name.



  • To delete a chat, go to the Messaging module, click the File name in the left-hand panel, then click the three dots next to the chat name, and select Delete Chat.
