What is Google Tag Manager (GTM) and how can I use it with Safari Portal?
Use GTM with Safari Portal for more in-depth proposal analytics.

What is GTM?

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool that helps you manage and deploy marketing tags (like tracking codes or pixels) on your website or app without needing to modify the code directly.

It provides a user-friendly interface where you can add, edit, or remove tags, set up triggers to control when the tags fire, and organize them efficiently.

This makes it easier to track user behavior, measure performance, and integrate with analytics and advertising platforms, all while reducing the need for constant developer support.

How can I use GTM with Safari Portal?

  • Navigate to your Account Settings by clicking the triangle next to your initial in the top right corner of your dashboard
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Company Settings tab and locate the Google Tag Manager (GTM) section
  • Enter this ID, which looks something like **GTM-XXXXXX** and click Save
    • This enables you to use Google Tag Manager as a gateway to integrate other analytics tools, like HotJar.

Doing this lets you track and analyze how clients interact with your Safari Portal documents.
