What are Message Sets?
Create groups of messages that can be automatically scheduled around key trip milestones.

Message Sets are collections of individual messages that can be scheduled relative to important events in a traveler's journey.

You can create and manage Message Sets by navigating to More Options > Message Templates.

Note: Message Templates and Message Sets are permissions-based features. If you do not see More Options > Message Templates, please ask your account administrator to update your user permissions.

Unlike individual Message Templates, Message Sets allow you to build an entire communication journey in advance.

Messages can be scheduled relative to the following trigger events:

  • File is created
  • File is confirmed
  • Trip starts
  • Trip ends

For example, you might create a message set that sends:

  • A welcome message immediately after a file is confirmed
  • A packing reminder seven days before departure
  • An arrival message on the day travel begins
  • A feedback request three days after the trip ends

Scheduling a Message Set

Once you've created a Message Set, click the three dots (...) menu and select Add to Chat.

You'll then select:

  • The file you want to apply the Message Set to
  • The chat you want the messages sent through
  • The time zone in which the messages should be delivered

Safari Portal will automatically schedule all messages in the Message Set using the dates associated with the selected file.

Viewing scheduled messages

You can view all scheduled messages by navigating to the main Messages module and selecting the Scheduled tab.

Note: Only messages with a trigger event will appear in the Scheduled tab, as these are the messages that have an associated send date.

Unscheduling a Message Set

To remove a scheduled Message Set:

  1. Navigate to More Options > Message Templates
  2. Locate the scheduled Message Set
  3. Click the three dots (...)
  4. Select Unschedule

This will remove all future scheduled messages associated with that Message Set.
