How do I hide the Book Now button or switch to a waitlist after guests have already booked?
Automatically hide the button or launch a waitlist, even after some guests have booked.
You can automatically hide the Book Now button or replace it with a Join Waitlist button once certain conditions are met. This is useful if you've already received bookings and want to stop accepting new ones without manually editing the trip.
The button can automatically change when:
- A maximum number of travelers has booked
- A specific date has passed
- All booking options have sold out
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the trip's File and check the Bookings tab to see how many travelers have already booked.
- Open the Bookable Trip by clicking Edit on the Itinerary or Lookbook.
- Note: Bookable itineraries and lookbooks are marked with a blue dollar sign ($) icon, making it easy to identify which items have been configured to accept online bookings.
- Open Make Bookable settings.
- Select the General tab.
- Under either Auto-Hide Button or Open Waitlist, enable A maximum number of travelers is reached.
- Enter the total number of travelers that have already booked.
- For example, if 12 travelers have already booked, enter 12. Because the threshold has already been reached, the change takes effect immediately.
- Choose whether you want the button to:
- Hide completely, or
- Change to Join Waitlist and open your selected lead form.
- Click Save.
Tips & Tricks 💥
- If you need the change to happen immediately, use the maximum number of travelers trigger. The specific date option only accepts future dates—you can't select today's date.
- Travelers who book before the threshold is reached continue through the normal booking flow, including payment. Only bookings made after the threshold is met will see the button hidden or replaced with Join Waitlist.
- You can enable both A maximum number of travelers is reached and A specific date has passed. The button will change as soon as either condition is met, whichever happens first.
