Help! I updated my email template, but it didn't update for tasks I already made.
Understanding why updates don’t apply to previously created tasks.
We don’t automatically update your tasks when you change an email template, so any personalization you’ve added stays intact. However, updating tasks with the revised template is easy.
Step-By-Step Instructions
- Click Edit next to the task containing the email you want to update.
- Navigate to the Email section.
- Notice the Save as Template toggle is off, and no template is selected in the Select Template dropdown. This means all current edits to the email draft are local to this task and won't be saved to the email template.

3. From the Select Template dropdown, choose the template you want to update the task with.
4. Click Update.

5. When it comes time to complete the task, all you need to do is click the Send button and the email will be teed up for you and ready to go.
