How the TourPlan integration works
Learn how TourPlan, TMIS, and Safari Portal work together to generate client-ready itineraries while allowing you to continue managing your bookings in TourPlan.

The TourPlan integration allows you to continue creating and pricing your itineraries in TourPlan while automatically generating a polished, client-facing itinerary in Safari Portal.

The integration uses an intermediary third-party platform called TMIS to connect the two systems. If you would like an introduction to the TMIS team to get set up, please let us know.

Step 1: Map your TourPlan items

Before generating itineraries, you'll complete a one-time mapping process via TMIS. During this step, the line items in your TourPlan system are linked to the corresponding content pages in Safari Portal.

Once these mappings have been configured, they can be reused for future itineraries.

Step 2: Generate your Safari Portal itinerary

When your TourPlan booking is ready, open it in TMIS and generate the Safari Portal itinerary.

TMIS uses your existing mappings to create a Safari Portal itinerary automatically and generates a shareable Safari Portal URL.

Step 3: Share or customize

Once the itinerary has been created, you can either:

  • Share the Safari Portal URL immediately with your client without ever needing to go into Safari Portal at all.
  • Open the itinerary in Safari Portal to make additional edits, customize the presentation, or add extra content before sharing.

How the integration fits into your workflow

TourPlan remains your operational system for building and pricing itineraries, while Safari Portal provides the client-facing presentation. TMIS connects the two, allowing itinerary information to flow from TourPlan into Safari Portal without having to recreate your work.

Because a file is automatically created in Safari Portal, you can take advantage of Safari Portal's broader workflow tools, including task management, contacts, reporting, forms, invoices, and more.
