Quick Takeaways
- In this week’s webinar, Rachel West shared several useful tips and tricks for working efficiently in Calendar Builder.
- You can bulk-select and shift itinerary items to remove blank days at the start of an itinerary. Events can be duplicated to save time, especially when including repeat details like flight notes or baggage allowances.
- Icon styles can be filtered by weight to maintain a clean, consistent look throughout the itinerary. Users can also request new icons by emailing the Safari Portal support team.
- Property details like room type, basis of stay, icons, and notes can be saved for future use. The next time that property is used, those saved preferences will auto-fill for you or your team.
- Area pages can be displayed as multi-day activities to avoid blank interim days between check-in and check-out.
- Labels and icons for those blocks can be customized; for example, renamed as “Days on Safari” with a paw print or binocular icon.
- The new “Book Now” button feature lets users add a floating, customizable CTA to any itinerary or Lookbook™. This button can link to a website, an email address, a phone number, or even a checkout invoice. Both the button text and color are fully customizable.
- Katherine Mathias introduced Amaya, a new, owner-run tented camp in the Timbavati.
- The camp features personalized guiding, luxury tents, and extras like walking safaris and private picnics. Amaya also runs a wildlife filmmaking course with space for eight students and its own vehicles and schedule.
- The lodge accommodates up to eight guests and offers solar power, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and beautifully curated interiors.
- A “pay 3, stay 4” offer is currently available, and the lodge is open for bookings.
