Quick Takeaways

  • You can now add a credit card authorization input to any form, so you no longer have to generate the link from a contact profile. Embed one form on your website or share the link any time, and associate it with a file so it's attached there. Card details still live on the contact profile, and you control who can see them. How do I create and manage Credit Card Authorization from forms?
  • Cards are held for 60 days by default. Open the Authorize Card settings and check the box to keep them up to a year. Credit card authorizations in invoices are the next step.
  • Offer payments in another currency lets you invoice in one currency, like Euro, and let clients choose to pay in another, like US dollars. You control the rate: a manual rate from your financials currency settings, or a live daily rate with an optional buffer, since nobody gets the pure market rate. How do I let clients pay an invoice in another currency?
  • On fees: there's a 0.5% platform fee on client payments taken through Safari Portal, plus whatever your payment processor charges, which depends on where you and your clients are based. Soon you'll need a pay button integration to accept payments.
  • A direct QuickBooks integration enters limited beta in about two weeks. Invoices, payments, expenses, and supplier payments flow through with the accounting built in, including automatic posting of currency gains and losses. To join the beta, email Rachel.
  • Contacts now tag travelers as B2B or B2C automatically when they're added to a white-labeled file, so filtering to only your direct clients takes a click.
  • Contact owners are noted automatically from the file owner or sales consultant, backfilled for past work, and you can filter by owner. You can also bulk select contacts to change the owner or update marketing opt-in.
  • Lead source now syncs from files to contacts, and partner agent profiles show every trip they've inquired about, confirmed, or passed on, right on a Trips tab.
  • Travel Dashboards finally let you hide individual cards or whole sections, in dashboards and in templates. Build everything for every phase of the journey, then hide what isn't relevant yet. Use the pencil icon for a card and the gear icon for a section.
  • A new Roles and Permissions tab in account settings lets you create roles like "sales team," pick an emoji, add permissions once, and assign people, instead of editing each user. You can set up several admins with nearly the same permissions as you. How do I use Roles to manage permissions for my team?
  • Files dashboards now track estimated start and end dates, trip value, and profit, and you can sort by them. The hamburger menu collapses the navigation for more room.
  • Clients can add their own documents to a travel dashboard through a form with a file upload and a card that shows what they've sent.
  • Your Guide to Safari Portal keeps growing, with deep dive courses on files, contacts, and the content library, plus Superbuilder sneak peeks, including one on Lookbooks. Rachel wants your course ideas.
