Quick Takeaways

  • In this webinar, the Safari Portal team shared key 2026 product updates (Supplier Payments, extended Card Authorization, Travel Insurance, and Bookable Trips), then welcomed Matt from Natural Wanders to showcase storytelling walks in Cape Town.
  • Pay Suppliers (Flowbrite Integration): You can now pay suppliers directly from Safari Portal—link beneficiaries once, then click Pay on any supplier expense. Payments update automatically in Safari Portal, including FX rates when applicable.
  • Bulk supplier payments are coming soon: In the next week or two, you’ll be able to select multiple supplier payments and send them with one click.
  • Lock in FX rates (without tying up cash): Flowbrite supports forward buys so you can secure favorable exchange rates ahead of time.
  • Credit Card Authorization update: Card authorization is being extended from 60 days to up to 12 months (in code review and expected to be live very soon).
  • Travel Insurance (Redpoint) is launching in February: Safari Portal users will have access to an exclusive plan priced at 6.5% of trip value (vs. typical ~11%), with instant quotes generated directly from Guest Portal guest form data—plus competitive commissions on policies sold.
  • Bookable Trips are now live: Use Make Bookable to create an interactive booking flow where clients can choose packages, options, and add-ons—then Safari Portal automatically generates an invoice and secure checkout.
  • Booking controls are flexible: Customize button text/colors, set invoice currency, and configure booking limitations (e.g., auto-hide when sold out or redirect to a waitlist/interest form).
  • Invoices & communications are automated: Start from an invoice template, set installments (with the final payment covering the remaining balance), enable payment reminders, and send automated emails for “options selected” and booking confirmation.
  • Natural Wanders spotlight: Matt shared Cape Town experiences including the Constantia Wine Walk, Franschhoek Wine Walk, and a Cocktail & Speakeasy tour—all built around beautiful routes, excellent food/wine, and story-driven guiding. These activities are searchable and bookable to add into itineraries within Safari Portal.
  • Natural Wanders tours run year-round, and rainy days are covered with a flexible backup plan (less walking, more driving—turning the wine “walk” into a wine “tour”).
  • Keep an eye on your inbox: upcoming webinars will feature Rob (Flowbrite) and Clint (Redpoint) for deeper dives into those integrations.
