How to add trip extensions to an Itinerary in the Classic Builder?
Easily add extra days and activities to your existing Itinerary.
To include optional trip extensions in your Itinerary, follow these steps in the Details tab of the Itinerary creation flow:
- Organize Base Travel Plans
- Begin by setting up the primary travel plans with corresponding line items as you would for any itinerary.
- Add an Optional Extension Section
- Once you’ve added the last line item for the base itinerary (e.g., the departure day), create a new line item.
- Select Activity as the content type, and leave the date field blank.
- Enter the text: ~ Or, Optional Extension ~
- List Extension Details
- Add additional line items beneath this header to outline the details of the optional trip extension.
This approach keeps your itinerary organized while clearly presenting any optional extensions.
