• Rachel introduced Your Guide to Safari Portal, a brand-new in-app learning experience built directly into the platform — essentially Safari Portal Academy, rebuilt inside the product so new modules and courses can roll out and be discovered without leaving Safari Portal.
• It's designed for every level, whether you're brand new or you've been using the platform for years, and you work through it at your own pace.
• Lessons are short video tutorials, usually around a minute and up to two, each linking out to samples or the Help Center for anyone who wants to go deeper.
• The Getting Started module has five short lessons built around the concept of travel dashboards, walking through the essential building blocks of the platform and how to use dashboards to curate client experiences. How do Travel Dashboards work?
• Two more sections are coming alongside it: Foundations, which is the refreshed Academy content (the lookbook and itinerary lessons haven't been refreshed yet, since those are waiting on Super Builder), and Advanced.
• As Super Builder gets closer, Your Guide to Safari Portal becomes the mechanism for previewing what's coming — expect new modules introducing it as features roll out, alongside the regular weekly webinars.
• Progress is tracked with points and badges, and completions can be shared to LinkedIn — the idea is to make it easy to pick up right where you left off.
• A Users and Roles upgrade is coming to account settings: multiple account admins (everyone gets the same permissions except managing the subscription), plus custom roles like manager and content editor that you assign to team members instead of managing each person's permissions individually. Change a role's permissions once and it rolls down to everyone assigned to it.
• Once that ships, the Users and Roles table will also show which badges — which courses — each team member has completed, giving admins a bird's-eye view of who's trained on what.
• Timing: the Users and Roles upgrade is expected online next week, possibly the following week. Your Guide to Safari Portal itself is expected to go live next week — one small fix is holding it back from launching today.
