The easiest and recommended way to load content into the app is by using Travel Dashboards.
Simply share a Travel Dashboard via Email and it will automatically appear in your client's Travel Portal app. If they download the app later, it will be waiting for them as soon as they sign in using the same email address.
Best Practices for Sharing Content to the Travel Portal App
The Travel Portal app gives your clients seamless access to their trip information, itineraries, documents, forms, messages, and more โ all in one place, including offline access when they're on the road.
Recommended: Share a Travel Dashboard via Email
Travel Dashboards are the simplest way to ensure everything is automatically available in your clients' apps.
Simply:
- Create a Travel Dashboard.
- Add anything your client needs, such as:
- Itineraries
- Documents
- Forms
- Invoices
- Flights
- Insurance
- Destination information
- Share the Travel Dashboard using the Share via Email option.
That's it. ๐ฅ
If your client already has the app installed
As long as they are logged into the app using the same email address you shared the dashboard with, the Travel Dashboard will automatically appear in their app.
No codes. No links. No additional steps.
If your client hasn't downloaded the app yet
No problem.
Share the Travel Dashboard via Email as normal.
Later, when they download the Travel Portal app and sign in using the same email address that the dashboard was shared to, the Travel Dashboard will automatically be waiting for them inside the app.
Again, no codes or setup required.
Downloading the App
The Travel Portal app is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
For the best experience, we recommend that travelers register using the same email address they use to communicate with you, as this allows Safari Portal to automatically connect shared content to their account.
Sharing Itineraries and Lookbooks
You can still share individual Itineraries and Lookbooks using the Share via Email option.
If the recipient already has the Travel Portal app installed and is registered using the same email address, the content will automatically be available within their app.
However, in most cases, we recommend sharing a Travel Dashboard instead. Travel Dashboards not only bring everything related to a trip together in one organized experience, but they will also automatically sync to the Travel Portal app even if the traveler downloads the app after you've shared the content with them.
This means you can simply share once via email and your clients' travel information will be waiting for them whenever they choose to install and log into the app.
Sharing Via Link
Travel Dashboards, Itineraries, and Lookbooks can also be shared using a direct link.
However, for the simplest app experience, we recommend sharing via Email. This allows Safari Portal to automatically sync the content to your client's Travel Portal app.
When sharing via a link, clients can still add the content to their app at any time by clicking the blue phone icon and following the prompts.
Offline Access
Once a traveler has opened a Travel Dashboard, Itinerary, or other content within the app, they can make it available offline so it remains accessible even when internet connectivity is limited or unavailable during travel.
