What Your Guests Will Experience
When guests click the button on the Insurance Card, they'll be guided through a simple four-step process to generate an instant travel insurance quote.
Step 1: Trip Details
Guests confirm:
- Destination country (or countries)
- Date of initial trip payment
- Departure and return dates
- Country of residence and, for U.S. residents, state of residence
Good to know: Destination countries and travel dates are automatically populated from the itinerary associated with the selected File. Any travelers attached to the Insurance Card will also have their country and state of residence pre-filled.
Step 2: Travelers
Guests:
- Select which travelers they'd like to insure.
- Choose one Primary Traveler, who will complete payment and receive the policy documents.
Step 3: Compare Quotes
Guests can compare quotes for the Essential and Premier plans, with the option to add Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage where available.
Step 4: Purchase
A Your Quote is Ready message lets guests know to check their email, where they'll receive:
- Their insurance quote
- A link to complete the purchase
- Policy information from Redpoint Travel Protection
Tips & Tricks 💥
- Everyone covered under a single policy must reside in the same country. For U.S. residents, everyone must also live in the same state. If travelers live in different countries or states, separate policies will need to be generated.
- If multiple policies are required, simply generate the first quote, then repeat the process for the remaining travelers.
- Guests can generate quotes themselves directly from their Travel Dashboard, or you can complete the process on their behalf.
- Travel insurance policies are issued directly by Redpoint Travel Protection, so the purchase agreement is between the guest and Redpoint.
- You'll receive an email notification whenever a quote is generated and when one is purchased.
- Note this notification must be enabled from your Account Settings > Personal > Notifications Settings.
- If the guest completes their purchase, policy documents are emailed directly to the Primary Traveler.
- Once a policy has been purchased, the umbrella icon in the Extras column on the Travelers tab of the File turns blue, indicating that traveler has travel insurance.
- To edit an Insurance Card after it has been added to a Travel Dashboard, hover over the card and click the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
