What is the Content Library?
Access, create, and customize reusable components to include in Lookbooks, Itineraries, and Guest Portals.

The Content Library is the heart and soul of Safari Portal. Itโ€™s your central hub for all the building blocks youโ€™ll use (and re-use) in Itineraries, Lookbooks, Guest Portals, and Travel Dashboards. Read on to learn more, or check out the video lesson about the Content Library in the Safari Portal Academy.

Save Time With Pre-Built Pages

Safari Portal has thousands of pre-built pages for properties and destinations worldwide. These pages feature high-quality photos and descriptions, making them ready to use off the shelf.

Instead of starting from scratch, you can save hours by adding these ready-made pages directly to your proposals. Itโ€™s an easy way to deliver polished and professional content quickly.

Create Your Own Pages

You can also create your own custom pages in the Content Library. Here are the types of pages you can create:

  • Property Pages: Showcase hotels, lodges, camps, villas, and other accommodations.
  • Area Pages: Highlight regions, cities, or neighborhoods.
  • Activity Pages: For excursions, tours, restaurants, or events.
  • About Us Pages: Share information about your company, consultant, or guide bios.
  • Introductory Note Pages: Provide a personal welcome message, explain the thought process behind a trip's design, or highlight key features of the Itinerary.
  • Pre-Travel Information Pages: Use an expandable accordion layout to share essential pre travel information such as about visas, passports, WIFI, electricity access, and packing tips.
  • Miscellaneous Pages: Anything that doesn't fit neatly in the above like Terms & Conditions, or a Next Steps page.

Every Page Includes a Resource Hub

Each Content Library page now includes an associated Resource page where your team can store operational and internal information related to that content.

Resources can include:

  • Internal notes
  • Supplier contacts
  • Inspection photos
  • Documents and reference materials
  • Availability links
  • Team-only operational information

This allows your team to centralize both beautiful client-facing content and internal operational knowledge in one place.

All Content is Reusable

You can use any page in the Content Library, either one you've created or one Safari Portal has curated, across Itineraries, Lookbooks, Guest Portals, and Travel Dashboards. You can insert any page on its own into an Itinerary, Lookbook, or Guest Portal. Or, you can add the page to another using Content Blocks, which allows you to flexibly layer content together in creative ways.

For example, you might use a Miscellaneous Page to create your companyโ€™s Terms & Conditions. After adding it to the Content Library, you can pull it into any proposal with just a few clicks, saving time and effort.

Important Notes

  • Safari Portal content pages cannot be edited directly. If you'd like to customize one, simply duplicate the page into your own account and make it your own.
  • Changes made to any Content Page in a Lookbook, Itinerary, or Guest Portal will not affect its original version in the Content Library.
  • Changes made to a page in the Content Library can automatically update that page anywhere it is used across Itineraries, Lookbooks, Guest Portals, and Travel Dashboards, unless the page was edited within the specific proposal.
