How does the language translation feature work?
How to share content in any preferred language.

Safari Portal’s language translation feature makes it easy to share proposals and content in your client’s preferred language. Here’s how it works:

On Shared Proposal or Guest Portal Links

When you share a link to an Itinerary, Lookbook, or Guest Portal, a gray translation widget appears on the left-hand side.

If viewers click the widget and select their preferred language, the proposal is instantly translated. The translation is powered by Deepl, a premium translation software which means that it does all of the work for you.

Things to Note

  • Proper nouns (like names and places) will not be translated.
  • PDF and Word exports are not automatically translated.
  • 📌 This is an add-on feature. If you would more details, please email [email protected].

Within the Editor of a Lookbook or Itinerary

You could create content in your Content Library in the language of your choice, and an Itinerary template with the main texts in that language too, such as "Map," "Travel Brief," and "Visualize Your Journey."

Then, using the Itinerary Settings function (accessible from the gear icon on the Itinerary or Lookbook tabs), you can set your language for default texts, like dates and the number of nights, which you cannot manually translate.

When you share the Itinerary, Lookbook, or Guest Portal, all the hard-coded texts will also be in your selected language. Additionally, all system-generated pop-ups and modals on the page will also be in your chosen language.

Using the Language Translation Widget to Translate Content Pages

This is a great trick for quickly translating Content Pages.

  • From the Content Library, click the Share button for the page you want to translate
  • Open the link in another tab
  • Click the translation widget to translate the page content
  • Duplicate the page from the three dots and add a tag for the language
  • Copy-paste the translated back into the new Content Page, tweaking as needed
