In some businesses, one person or team acts as the dedicated communications concierge, handling all traveler messaging.
When this setting is enabled, all chats associated with your files will be assigned to the selected team member instead of you.
To enable or disable this feature, navigate to More Options > Message Settings and turn on Make another team member the chat owner for all my files, then select the team member you would like to designate as the chat owner.
This means that:
- Email notifications for new messages will be sent to the designated chat owner;
- In-app notifications will be directed to the designated chat owner;
- Travelers sending private messages will communicate directly with the designated chat owner (if private messaging is enabled);
- The designated team member becomes the primary point of contact for all traveler messaging.
This setting is particularly helpful for businesses that operate a centralized concierge, guest services, or support model, where one person or team is responsible for managing client communications.
