What are best practices for working with an assistant or a VA on Safari Portal?
How to add an assistant with limited access to your Files.
Need an assistant to help with your Itineraries but don’t want to grant them full access to your Dashboard? You can create a user seat for them and control their permissions, ensuring they only have access to files assigned to them.
Step-By-Step Instructions
Add the Assistant as a User
- Navigate to your Account Settings > Users tab.
- Under Add Users, enter your assistant's email address.
- Set User permissions:
- Check the permission for Can create, edit, and delete content in the Content Library if you want them to be able to create, edit or delete content.
- Leave the box for Can view all Files on Itinerary Dashboard unchecked - this means that they will only be able to see specifically Files assigned to them.
- Click Send Invitation.
📌 Note: if you need an extra seat for your assistant, please email [email protected].

Assign Files for Editing
- On your Dashboard, find the File you want your assistant to have access to.
- Click the three dots next to the File.
- Select Change File Owner.
- Choose your assistant from the dropdown.
- Click Save.

Reassign Access After Edits
Once your assistant has completed their edits, you can reassign the File back to yourself. This will automatically revoke their access to that File.
This setup ensures controlled collaboration while maintaining security over your Files. 🚀
