Making a trip bookable allows your clients to select their own options and add-ons, check out securely, submit their client information, purchase travel insurance, and complete their booking online. All bookings are tracked on your Dashboard so you can easily see remaining availability, who booked which option, and which travelers are grouped together.
You can fully customize how your Make Bookable button behaves โ including directing it to a lead form, email, or phone number, or automatically switching to a Join Waitlist message when availability runs out. You can also configure payment schedules, confirmation emails, and automated payment reminders.
โ ๏ธ Important: An Account Admin must go to Account Settings โ Integrations to connect your payment processor(s) in order to accept bookings.
Enable Bookable Mode
- From your Dashboard, click Edit next to the Itinerary or Lookbook you want to make bookable.
- Click the Make Bookable button on the Itinerary or Lookbook tab.
- In the modal, choose whether to:
- Make the trip fully bookable (recommended for this tutorial)
- Link the button externally (e.g., to a URL, email address, or a phone number)
๐ Letโs focus on making the trip bookable.
Youโll now see six tabs on the left: General, Booking Options, Add-Ons, Forms & Insurance, Invoice Settings, Automated Emails.
1. General
Show Button
Toggle on Show Button to enable the Book Button. You can customize:
- Button text
- Button color
- Text color
Currency
Select the currency you want to use for all invoices in this booking flow.
- Only one currency can be used per booking flow.
Auto-Hide Button or Open Waitlist
- Hide the booking button or open a waitlist when a limit is reached.
- Use limitations to control when the button disappears or changes behavior. You can trigger actions when:
- All options are booked
- A maximum number of travelers is reached
- A specific date has passed
For example:
- When all options are sold out, automatically change the button to โJoin Waitlistโ and open a lead form
- Hide the button entirely after a certain date
- Combine multiple limitations (e.g., if you check all three limitations, then as soon as the trip is sold out OR total traveler count reached OR a specific date has passed, the button will change or disappear)
Auto-Confirm File
- Automatically move the trip to confirmed status when certain conditions are met.
2. Booking Options
This is where you set up the options clients can book.
Examples:
- Option 1: Junior Suite (Single) โ This package is for 1 traveler and the cost is for the entire package.
- Option 2: Junior Suite (Double) โ This package is for 2 travelers and the cost is for the entire package.
Or,
- Option 1: 9-night Safari for 5 people
- Option 2: 9-night Safari for 5 people + 4-night Coast Extension
For each option, you can configure:
- Title
- Description
- Number of packages available
- Number of travelers included
- Total cost per package (not per person)
๐ Note: Use + Add Another Package to add more package options. To remove an option, hover over it and click the trash icon.
3. Add-Ons
Add-ons allow clients to personalize their trip. Examples:
- Hot air balloon
- Unlimited drinks
- Coast extension (as a per-person add-on)
For each add-on you can:
- Add an icon (e.g., search โhot air balloonโ)
- Add a description
- Optionally specify quantity limits
๐ Note: Use + Add Another Add On to add more add-ons. To remove an add on, hover over it and click the trash icon. Add-ons are per person, not per package.
4. Forms & Insurance
Require a Form
- Choose a custom form from the dropdown.
- Without this feature enabled, clients will only be asked to provide their full name, email, and phone number.
- You can collect e-signatures on custom forms when a signature is required.
Enable Travel Insurance
- Give travelers the ability to purchase travel insurance when booking.
- Must have the Redpoint integration connected and an account setup with Redpoint.
5. Invoice Settings
This section defines what the invoice looks like once clients select their options and add-ons.
โ ๏ธ Important Recommendations:
- Use percentage-based payments or remaining balance payments so amounts adjust automatically based on what options and add-ons are selected during the booking process.
- Bookable trips cannot use due dates relative to the trip start/end โ choose fixed due dates unless tied to โday invoice is issued.โ
Payment Processor
You must select a payment processor to accept bookings. If none is set up:
- Save your progress
- An Account Admin must go to Account Settings โ Integrations to connect your payment processor(s)
Once selected, you can configure:
- Payment schedule
- Company info
- Invoice notes
- Terms & Conditions
- Card payment settings (allow or disable)
- Optional card surcharges (ensure legal compliance in your region)
- Alternative payment methods
- Automated payment reminders
- Discounts
๐ Note: If you already have an invoice template, toggle on Start From Invoice Template to load it โ all fields will pre-populate.

6. Automated Emails
Two automated emails are sent during the booking process:
Booking Email
Sent immediately after clients select options, add-ons, and traveler info. Includes:
- Link to the invoice
- Notification that they have 60 minutes to complete checkout before options are released
Confirmation Email
Sent as soon as checkout and payment are completed. You can customize:
- Subject line
- Message body
You may also want to include links (e.g., a client information form).
Saving or Resetting
- Save to keep your progress
- Save & Close to exit
- Start Over to clear all configurations

There are two options to hide the Make Bookable button:
- Click Start Over at the bottom of the modal.
- This will remove all previously entered inputs.
- Toggle off Show Book Button in the General tab of the modal.
- This will hide the Book Button, but all your inputs will remain saved if you toggle it back on.
