How do I change the language of a Safari Portal video?
Use the gear icon on the video player to switch subtitles or audio.
Most Safari Portal webinar recordings and all Guide videos are available in multiple languages. The videos play through Vimeo, so you switch languages by changing the settings within the Vimeo player.
Step-By-Step Instructions
- In the video player controls, click the gear ⚙️ icon (Settings) on the right side of the controls.
- To turn on subtitles, click CC/subtitles and select your language. Choose Off to turn subtitles off again.
- To hear the video dubbed in another language, click Audio and select your language. The Audio option appears on Guide and Safari Portal Academy videos.
- To switch back to the original English voiceover, click Audio again and select Original audio.
- Click off the video to close the menu.

Tips & Tricks 💥
- Subtitles put translated text on screen while the original English audio keeps playing. Dubbed audio replaces the voice track with a voiceover. Guide videos offer both. Please note, webinar recordings offer subtitles only.
- The CC button in the player bar turns subtitles on and off without opening the full Settings menu.
- If a language is missing from the menu, it is not available for that video. You can request other languages by emailing [email protected].
- 📌 Note: If you want Safari Portal itself, or your proposals, in another language, that is a different setting. See Can I change Safari Portal content into a different language?
