Whether you want your proposals to closely match your existing website or you're envisioning something entirely new, we'll work with you to create a beautiful, distinctive client experience.

How the Premium Theme Design Process Works

The best place to start is with your company website or brand guidelines.

Our Creative team uses these as a foundation to design a Premium Theme that reflects your brand identity as closely as possible, incorporating your typography, colors, imagery, layouts, and other design elements.

Your feedback is an important part of the process! We'll collaborate with you on design refinements and layout adjustments to make sure the finished result feels just right.

What's Possible with Premium Themes?

Premium Themes offer advanced design flexibility beyond what's available in the standard Themes settings.

Here are some of the elements we can customize.

1. Custom Fonts

We can incorporate your exact brand fonts throughout your Itineraries and Lookbooks, ensuring consistency with your website and other branded materials.

If your company uses custom fonts, simply provide the font files and we'll incorporate them into your Theme.

2. Background Colors

Background colors can be customized for different page types and sections of your proposal.

For example, you might choose:

A navy background for your cover page.
A warm beige background for your pricing pages.
A black background for your day-by-day itinerary pages.

This allows you to create a distinctive visual experience while maintaining consistency with your brand.

3. Background Images

We can incorporate custom background images into your Theme to create a more immersive and visually engaging presentation.

These can be particularly effective for cover pages, introductory sections, and other areas where you want to make a strong visual impression.

4. Custom Page Layouts

Premium Themes give you greater control over how images and content are arranged.

Full-width layouts

Images and content can be stacked vertically, with the primary image appearing above the accompanying text.

5. Navigation Styles

We can customize how navigation appears throughout your proposal, including:

Full-width horizontal navigation.
Half-width horizontal navigation.
Navigation contained within the hamburger menu's Table of Contents.

We can incorporate custom iconography throughout your Premium Theme.

Simply share the icon files you'd like to use, ideally in SVG format.

Rounded corners on fast-fact boxes.
Adjusted proportions and spacing across page layouts.

Important Things to Know

Where Premium Themes Apply

Premium Themes are designed specifically for digital Super Builder Itineraries and Lookbooks.

They don't automatically change the appearance of every other module within Safari Portal.

However, once your custom fonts are loaded, you can use them to create matching Themes for other areas of the platform, including:

Content Library pages.
Forms.
Invoices.
Travel Dashboards.

This makes it possible to maintain a consistent brand experience across your client-facing materials.

How Premium Themes Work with Content Library Pages

Individual pages in your Content Library are created using Safari Portal's standard content styles.

You can assign a default Theme to these pages, but when you add them to a Lookbook or Itinerary, they'll automatically adopt the Theme applied to that proposal.

This means you don't need to redesign your Content Library pages individually to maintain consistent branding across your proposals.

PDF and Word Exports

Premium Themes are primarily designed for the digital client experience.

PDF exports: Your custom fonts will carry through to standard PDF exports, although they won't apply to headers and footers.

Word exports: Premium Theme styling does not automatically carry through to exported Word documents.

However, certain elements of Word exports, including fonts and colors, can be customized separately.

Premium Themes in the Traveler App

Premium Themes are supported in the Safari Portal traveler app, including when itineraries and Lookbooks are accessed offline.

However, there is an important distinction between legacy custom templates and the new Super Builder Premium Themes:

Super Builder Premium Themes: Custom styling is fully supported in both online and offline modes, ensuring a consistent branded experience for travelers.
Legacy Custom Templates: Custom styling is only available when travelers are online. When accessing an itinerary offline, travelers will see the standard Safari Portal design instead.

Customizing the Traveler App Itself

Premium Themes customize the appearance of your digital Itineraries and Lookbooks, but they don't change the overall interface of the Safari Portal traveler app.
