How can I share an Itinerary with an agent from another company who also uses Safari Portal?
How to share Itineraries with Partner Agents who also use Safari Portal.

Sharing copies of proposals with a Partner Agent is simple. This will allow your Partner Agent to make any changes or customizations they want to their copy of the Itineraries or Lookbook, within their own Safari Portal Dashboard.

Step-By-Step Instructions

From your Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the relevant File.
  2. Click the Share button.
  3. Choose the Share with Partner Agent tab.
  4. Under Select Recipient(s) search for or create the relevant Partner Agent.
    1. You can also use the BCC and CC fields.
  5. You can edit the subject and body of the message before sharing.
    1. Or create and use an email template.

Get to

From Inside the File

1. From your Dashboard navigate to the relevant File.

2. Expand the File.

3. Click the Share button next to the proposal.

4. Choose the Share with Partner Agent tab.

While Editing an Itinerary:

  1. Click the Share button in the top-right of the page.
  2. Choose the Share with Partner Agent tab.

If The Other Agent Has Safari Portal

  • If you share an Itinerary with an agent who is also using Safari Portal, they will receive a copy of the Itinerary in their own Dashboard. They can edit this copy as they like.
    • You will not see any changes the other agent makes on their copy of the proposal, and they will not see any new edits you make after sharing.

If The Other Agent Doesn't Have Safari Portal

  • If the agent you share the Itinerary with does not have their own Safari Portal account, they will receive an email with the link to view the Itinerary. They will be unable to make any changes to the Itinerary themselves.

Troubleshooting

  • Have you shared an Itinerary or Lookbook with a Partner Agent and it didn’t appear on their Dashboard?
    • Check that you shared it with the same email address that they use to log into Safari Portal.

  • Can’t see updates that your Partner Agent made? Or they can’t see updates that you made?
    • This is expected behavior; this is how this feature currently works - it only shares a COPY to your Partner Agents Dashboard, although being able to share a live, collaborative version is on our roadmap.

  • Shared a Guest Portal to a Partner Agent and it’s not appearing on their Dashboard?
    • You can’t share Guest Portals across accounts - only Lookbooks, Itineraries or Content Pages. However, you can use the Send Info option to share details from the Guest Portal, including content like Passports & Travel Insurance, Trip Manifests, and more. Guests can bookmark the link to the client-facing Guest Portal or access it directly through their app.

Tips & Tricks 💥

  • You can share a Word version of the Itinerary if the other agent does not have Safari Portal and would like to make his or her own tweaks, or even better, put them in touch with us and let's get them on Safari Portal too!
