What is the Documents tab of the Media Library?
Preview, rename, tag, upload, and search your documents from one tab.
The Documents tab lives inside the Media Library, alongside the Photos tab. Use it to store, preview, and manage every PDF you use across Safari Portal.
Step-By-Step Instructions
- Click the stacked-files icon on the left-hand side of Safari Portal to open the Media Library, then select the Documents tab.
- Hover over a document to see its title, along with an edit (pencil) icon and a delete (trash can) icon. Its preview image is generated automatically, so there's nothing to upload separately.
- Click the edit icon to rename the document or update its keyword tags. Documents don't have a focal point option, since there's no cropping to adjust on a PDF.
- Click Save to keep your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
- Click the trash icon to delete a document.
- Click Upload in the top right to add a new document directly to the library. You don't need to wait until you add it to a Travel Dashboard, Content Page, Itinerary, Lookbook, or Guest Portal.
- Use the search field in the top right to find a document by name or tag. Search only looks within the tab you're currently viewing, so make sure you're on the Documents tab first. Unlike the Photos tab, there are no filters available here, but search still works.
Tips & Tricks 💥
Documents are also saved to this tab automatically when you add them elsewhere in Safari Portal:
- Within a Content Page or proposal: Add an attachment using the PDF Element.
- By reusing a Content Page: Upload one or more documents to a Content Page using the PDF Element, then reuse that page in multiple places. Your documents come along with it.
- Within an Itinerary event: Attach documents (e.g., train tickets, flight tickets, vouchers) to an individual event from the More Details on the Day page, using the PDF Element.
- In the Travel Wallet of a Guest Portal: Add documents for your travelers to access directly.
📌 Note: If you want to reuse a document as an attachment in the Travel Wallet section of a Guest Portal, you must first upload it to the Documents tab. This is the only place in the platform where uploaded documents aren't automatically saved for future use.
