How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Each user turns on 2FA in their own Settings, and can turn it off anytime.

📌 Before you start: You'll need an authenticator app on your phone, like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo Mobile.

Two-factor authentication, or 2FA, adds an extra layer of protection to your Safari Portal login. It's one of the most recommended ways to protect any online account. Each time you log in, you'll enter your password and a six-digit code from your phone. Each user on your account sets up 2FA in their own settings, so turning it on only changes your login.

Step-By-Step Instructions

Add 2FA

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right, then click Settings.
  2. Make sure you are inside the Personal tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Security section.
  4. Next to Enable 2FA, click Configure 2FA.
  5. If you don't have one yet, download a free authenticator app on your phone, like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo Mobile.
  6. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code in the Enable 2FA window.
  7. Enter your Safari Portal Password.
  8. Enter the six-digit code your app shows.Click Verify Now.

Tips & Tricks 💥

  • Want your whole team using 2FA? Share this article with them. Each user needs to turn it on from their own Settings. Account Admins can't turn on 2FA for other users.
  • Not sure if 2FA is on? Check the button next to Enable 2FA. If it says Disable 2FA, it's on. If it says Configure 2FA, it's off.
  • Can't scan the QR code? Click Copy next to the secret key and paste it into your app instead.
  • The code changes every 30 seconds. If it doesn't work, wait for a new code and try again.
  • Think someone else has been in your account? Click Sign Out Everywhere in the same Security section. This logs you out on all other devices.
