How do I use the Travel Portal app?
Learn how to add any Itinerary, Lookbook™, or Guest Portal to your client's Travel Portal app.

The Travel Portal app gives your clients seamless access to their Itinerary details and trip information, all in one place, conveniently accessible offline whenever they need it.

Any Lookbook, Itinerary, or Guest Portal created in Safari Portal is easily accessible through the Travel Portal app. Read on for best practices to streamline the sharing process, whether you prefer email or link sharing. You can also watch our video about the Travel Portal app in the Safari Portal Academy.

Download the App First

We recommend encouraging travelers to download the Travel Portal app before opening any Lookbooks, Itineraries, or Guest Portals on their phone, if they want to use the app.

  • The app is available via Google Play Store or App Store for mobile phones and tablets.
  • Ensure they register for the app with the same email address they use to communicate with you.

We have some sample instructions and an interactive guide that you can optionally share with your clients. You can view those here.

Share Using "Share Via Email"

When you share an Itinerary or Lookbook using the Share via Email feature, it will be automatically added to your clients' Travel Portal app if they:

  • Have already downloaded the app.
  • Registered with the same email address you used to share the proposal.

For Guest Portals, the process is even simpler: the portal will appear directly on the app dashboard, even if your clients download the app after you share it.

Share Using "Share Via Link"

If your client has already downloaded the app, copying and sharing the link for a Lookbook, Itinerary, or Guest Portal will allow them to add it to their app dashboard.

If your client hasn’t downloaded the app yet:

  • Ask them to install it first, and register using the email address they use to correspond with you.
  • Once installed, have them click the link once more.
  • Then, click the mobile phone icon in the top right corner.
  • Click "Already have the app? Click here."
  • The Itinerary, Lookbook, or Guest Portal will be automatically added to their app dashboard.
    • Important note: it will add to their dashboard based on the travel dates; if the travel dates for the confirmed Itinerary are in the past, it will automatically be added under the Past tab in the app dashboard.
