How do I share content to the Travel Portal app?
Learn how to automatically sync Travel Dashboards, Itineraries, Lookbooks, and Guest Portals to your clients' Travel Portal app.

Best Practices for Sharing Content to the Travel Portal App

The Travel Portal app gives your clients seamless access to their trip information, itineraries, documents, forms, messages, and more โ€” all in one place, including offline access while they're traveling.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Automatic App Syncing

The easiest and recommended way to load content into the Travel Portal app (or your own custom app) is to share it using the Share via Email option.

Any of the following content types can be automatically synced to the Travel Portal app:

  • Travel Dashboards
  • Itineraries
  • Lookbooks
  • Guest Portals

Simply share the content via Email and Safari Portal will automatically connect it to the recipient's Travel Portal app account.

If Your Client Already Has the App Installed

As long as they are logged into the Travel Portal app using the same email address the content was shared to, it will automatically appear within their app.

No codes. No links. No additional steps.

If Your Client Hasn't Downloaded the App Yet

No problem.

Share the content via Email as normal.

Later, when your client downloads the Travel Portal app and signs in using the same email address the content was shared to, everything you've shared with them will automatically be waiting inside the app.

Again, no codes, setup steps, or manual linking required.

Why We Recommend Travel Dashboards

While any Itinerary, Lookbook, Guest Portal, or Travel Dashboard can now automatically sync to the app when shared via Email, we generally recommend using Travel Dashboards whenever possible.

Travel Dashboards allow you to bring everything related to a trip together in a single experience, including:

  • Itineraries
  • Documents
  • Forms
  • Invoices
  • Flights
  • Travel Insurance
  • Destination Information
  • Lists, Resources, and more

Instead of sharing multiple pieces of content separately, you can share a single Travel Dashboard and give your clients one organized place to access everything they need.

Downloading the App

The Travel Portal app is available on both the App Store and Google Play.

Pro Tip: For the best experience, encourage travelers to register using the same email address they use to communicate with you. This allows Safari Portal to automatically match shared content to their account.

Sharing Via Link

Travel Dashboards, Itineraries, Lookbooks, and Guest Portals can also be shared using a direct link.

However, if your goal is to have content automatically appear within the Travel Portal app, we recommend using Share via Email instead.

When content is shared via a direct link, travelers can still add it to their app by clicking the blue phone icon and following the prompts.

Offline Access

Once a traveler has opened content within the Travel Portal app, they can make it available offline so that trip information and documents remain accessible even when internet connectivity is limited or unavailable.
