Why are fields hidden in form submission emails?
Sensitive fields are masked to protect them from sitting in an inbox.
Safari Portal masks sensitive field values, like a passport number or date of birth, in form submission notification emails. Instead of the full value, you'll see something like r***@gmail.com. This is intentional. It keeps sensitive traveler information out of email inboxes. The full, unmasked response is always available in Safari Portal.
Step-By-Step Instructions
If you'd like to see the unmasked fields, here's how:
- Open the form submission notification email and scroll to the bottom.
- Click View Submission.
- This takes you straight to the form submission inside the client's Contact Profile, where you can see every field, unmasked.
Tips & Tricks 💥
- Masking only affects the email. Nothing changes about the data you can access within Safari Portal.
- Click the eye icon to preview the full response, or the download icon to save it as a PDF.
- For the full rundown on where to view a submission, including downloading a PDF or a CSV of all responses, see How can I see exactly what was filled out on a form, including text like terms and conditions?
