Quick Takeaways
- In this webinar, Safari Portal previewed Travel Dashboardsโ expected to go live within the next couple of weeksโ a flexible, beautifully designed client-facing canvas that is intended to become the next generation of Guest Portals.
- Unlike Guest Portals, Travel Dashboards can be created at any stage of the sales process โ leads, planning, confirmed, or archived โ and are not limited to confirmed Itineraries.
- A single Dashboard can pull in content from multiple Files โ Itineraries, Lookbooks, forms, invoices, flight info, documents, insurance widgets, content pages, and external URLs โ all mixed and matched in one place.
- Dashboards can be shared via a simple copyable link (no login required) or by email with an optional one-time passcode for added security around personal information.
- Travel Dashboards sync to the Safari Portal app. Clients using the app will see a dedicated Dashboards tab alongside their Itineraries tab.
- The List card is the most flexible element โ it can hold Itineraries, Lookbooks, forms, invoices, content pages, and external URLs all in one card, in any combination.
- Forms embedded in a Dashboard include configurable visibility settings: control whether guests can view, edit, or add responses, and choose whether responses auto-sync to a File.
- The Insurance widget pre-populates with travelers already added to the File; once a policy is purchased, documents are automatically added to the widget.
- Dashboards have autosave and a separate Publish action, so you can build and edit privately before pushing changes live to clients โ and updates reflect in real time once published.
- Features still being finalized before launch include: custom URL/white-label support, full branding and font controls, the ability to duplicate Dashboards, and the ability to save your own reusable Dashboard templates.
- Existing Guest Portals will continue to be supported; migrating to Travel Dashboards is optional, but recreating them is straightforward since both tools draw from the same underlying components.
