Let's create a Property Page together.
After selecting Property from the Create New Content dropdown in the Content Library, you will be taken to the Details tab of the property builder form.
Link To Master Property Page
When creating Property pages, the system will require you to Link To Master Property Page - this simply means to type in the name of the Property and press Enter (or click Request New Master if the property does not already exist in the database, and press Enter).
Tags
If this is the only version of this Property page then you can leave the tags field blank. You would only use tags if you are planning to create several different versions of this Property page - for example an English version and a Spanish version (in which case you would use the tags "English" and "Spanish" for the respective pages); or you might create a version of a Property page geared towards honeymooners and another version for families.
Typically you are going to have one version of a Property page and so you can skip the Tags section.
Portfolio
If the property belongs to an umbrella collection like Four Seasons or Marriott you can select it here. You can also leave this blank or add a new portfolio to the dropdown if what you are looking for doesn't already exist there.
Country and Area
Select the Country from the dropdown and type in the name of the Area. If an Area page already exists in the Content Library there will be an eye icon next to the Area name. If the Area you need isn't there you can click the Create Custom Area from the dropdown.
Next you will have the option to either create an Area page or not. If you want to create a separate Area page that would automatically be attached to this Property page click 'Yes.' If you do not want to create a stand-alone destination page you can click 'No.'
Emergency Contacts and Office Contacts
You can add this information if you have it. The Emergency Contacts you add here will automatically get pulled in to your Guest Portals (final documents) later. You can also skip these fields.
Google Maps
The easiest thing here is to type in the name of the property in the Location field. Ninety nine times out of 100 this will put the location pin in the correct place. Sometimes you might need to also add in the name of the area or country to help Google find the correct place; and you can always enter in an exact address if you have it or GPS coordinates.
Rooms
Here you can add as many different Room types as you like. You can add photos for the different room types, or not. And, you can skip this section altogether simply by clicking the Next button at the bottom of the page.
📌 Note: To update or add photos for specific room types at any point you will have to return to this Rooms tab and click the + button in the Photos & Videos section.
Page Tab
Yay! We made it to the fun part! Now that we are on the inline editor, we can start creating what the page will look like.
First, click the Replace Image button over the large image on the left, and upload a photo from your computer by clicking the upload icon or simply drag a photo into the box where it says Upload photo here.
Next, click into the dummy text boxes (with the light gray text) and paste in any text you want to use, or type in the text. Notice the text toolbar which allows you to format text with bold, italics, underline, add bullet points or numbers, hyperlink text and more.
You can delete any other dummy text or image blocks you want by clicking into the dummy text box and clicking the trash bin on the right of the toolbar), or you can add more content by adding as many images as you like (pro tip: if you upload more than one image into the Add Photos window it will automatically create a photo grid or a slideshow).
You can also hover between sections to see the blue line with the blue plus; clicking the blue plus launches the Element Library and allows you to add other elements like Video, Fast Facts icons, and PDFs.
