There are unlimited uses for our newest element Content Blocks. We've already seen how we can use Content Blocks to create Day by Day detailed itineraries, now let's explore how we can use Content Blocks to present itineraries where the main sections are split out by area or region.
Step 1: On the Details tab, add an Overnight stay, select the day in and out, @mention the Property name in the Accommodations & Rooming section and include the Area page.
Step 2: On the Itinerary tab, hide the property pages by hovering over the Property name and clicking the eye icon (it is important to @mention them on the Details tab because the map is generated based on the locations of the properties). Note that when you hide pages they will still display in your inline editor but when you share the link, they are not included in the client facing proposal.
Step 3: Navigate to the first destination, in our case this is the Rome page. Add a block for the accommodation by hovering under the last section on the page and clicking the blue plus to launch the Element Library and then click the Block icon:
Step 4: Search for the Property page you want to pull in, and press Enter. You may want to rename the section something like "Where you'll stay."
Step 5: Add a new section for something like What you'll do or Days in Rome.
Step 6: Add in Content Blocks for any other activities they'd be doing whilst in this area / region. Pro tip: the Name of the Content Page is what gets pulled in as the Section Title when you use the block except for Miscellaneous pages which do not automatically pull in Section titles.
You did it! Congratulations on using Content Blocks to create a detailed itinerary that is broken out by region or area. Here is the link for the itinerary we created together in this tutorial.
We hope you will enjoy using this fun new feature ๐
