Now that we understand the concept of Content Blocks (check out this article for an intro if needed), we can use them to present your itineraries in different ways.
Let's explore creating an itinerary that is broken out by Day on the Details tab.
Step 1: On the Details tab of an itinerary, click into the Date column, select Overnight stay
Step 2: Select Day 1 or the first date of the trip (if organizing by Date) for the day In. If you want the itinerary to be laid out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc, then do not select a day out. Click outside the Calendar picker to close it.
Step 3: In the Transfers, Flights, and Daily Activities type in "Arrive in Place Name" or "Arrive at Property Name." You can include whatever you would standardly include here, ie, Private transfer to the hotel but DO NOT @mention more than one page within any single Day row.
Step 4: In the Accommodations & Rooming section type in Overnight @PropertyName. You can skip the room type if you like, and then you should include an Area page when prompted (either click Yes or Choose my own if you have your own page you'd like to use).
Step 5: Add new rows for the remaining days of the trip by clicking the big Plus button and then add an Activity for each individual day of the trip. For each day make sure to @mention only one main page per section. Do not repeat any pages (ie, if you had @mentioned Rome on Day 1 do not @mention Rome again on Day 2). Notice in the screenshot below there is ONE page @mentioned per line.
For the screenshot above, the Trip Overview page looks like this:
Step 6: Review the itinerary on the Itinerary tab. Click the eye icon next to the property pages to hide them from the itinerary (this will ensure the map coordinates are still displayed on the map though since the map is generated from the property locations).
Step 6: Navigate to the various pages of the itinerary and optionally add the dates and/or days of the week.
Step 7: Use Content Blocks to pull in any other information you'd like to within any existing page. For example, add the property information as a section within the area pages:
Step 8: Continue to add in any additional details you like throughout the itinerary.
Yay! You've created a detailed day by day itinerary using Content Blocks! ๐
