This article assumes that you have added Custom Link Sharing to your account. If you haven't signed up for Custom Link Sharing, please either contact our Support team at support@safariportal.app (if you have a custom plan) or upgrade to a Tier II plan via Account Settings > Subscriptions.
How to configure a custom domain on your preferred web host:
The following section describes how to set up the redirection from your company's website to Safari Portal.
Head to your preferred domain web host and navigate to your DNS records. For the example below, we use Go Daddy. If you don't use Go Daddy, please contact your web host to access and update your DNS records.
You can use the below guidance for what you will need to have updated - essentially you will need to add an A record: set the host to itineraries, point to 107.20.183.27, and set the TTL to 1 Hour.
Heads up! When using an A record do not enable proxying.
GODADDY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Add an A record and CNAME record and point both to Safari Portal. Here's how:
How To Add An 'A Record':

In the Records card click the ADD button.

Select the A from the Type drop-down menu and then fill in the blank fields per the below screenshot

Set Host to itineraries

Points to 107.20.183.27
- Set TTL to 1 Hour
- Click the Save button.

How To Add A 'CNAME Record':
If you have a CNAME Record with account.safariportal.app you must update it to customdomain.safariportal.app
📌 Note: There is no need to change any other CNAME records. If you do not already have a CNAME pointing to us, you can skip this section.
- Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center
- Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page
- Under Additional Settings, select Manage DNS
- Under the records table, select Add
- Under Type, select CNAME
- Enter the following details for your CNAME Record:
- Host: itineraries
- Points to: customdomain.safariportal.app
- Click Save
How to set up a custom domain in Safari Portal
Step 1: In Safari Portal, click on the triangle next to your name in the top right of your screen. Then click Settings.
Step 2: Go to the Branding tab. You will see Customized Link Sharing at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Check Connect Custom Domain checkbox.
Step 4: Provide the name of your custom subdomain, for example itineraries.philwestsafaris.com.
Step 5: Click Save. Now your custom domain is pending configuration.
Great job 🎉 Once the domain's settings are fully set up, the icon Successfully Linked will show up in the domain field.
