How to configure a custom domain on your preferred web host:
The following section describes how to set up the redirection from your company's website to Safari Portal.
Head to your preferred domain web host and navigate to your DNS records. For the example below, we use Go Daddy. If you don't use Go Daddy, please contact your web host to access and update your DNS records.
You can use the below guidance for what you will need to have updated - essentially you will need to add an A record: set the host to itineraries, point to 18.104.22.168, and set the TTL to 1 Hour.
Heads up! When using an A record do not enable proxying.
Step 1: Add an A record and CNAME record and point both to Safari Portal. Here's how:
How To Add An 'A Record':
In the Records card click the ADD button.
Select the A from the Type drop-down menu and then fill in the blank fields per the below screenshot
Set Host to itineraries
Points to 22.214.171.124
- Set TTL to 1 Hour
- Click the Save button.
How To Add A 'CNAME Record':
If you have a CNAME Record with account.safariportal.app you must update it to customdomain.safariportal.app
📌 Note: There is no need to change any other CNAME records. If you do not already have a CNAME pointing to us, you can skip this section.
- Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center
- Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page
- Under Additional Settings, select Manage DNS
- Under the records table, select Add
- Under Type, select CNAME
- Enter the following details for your CNAME Record:
- Host: itineraries
- Points to: customdomain.safariportal.app
- Click Save
