Creating an itinerary in Safari Portal is very easy.ย
First, click the Create New Itinerary button on the Itineraries dashboard, and then click New Itinerary.
General Info tab
Now, select an existing file for this proposal to live within, or click Create File Name to create a new file.ย ย
*Note if you are creating a new file you will need to type in the name of a new file and then press Enter.
Next, you can add some Internal File Notes. These will help you remember what is in the itinerary from your Itineraries dashboard later. We suggest adding in the names of the properties you are including here so you can search for this itinerary later and find it easily if needed.
In theย About this Proposal section you can create a short & snappy Title for your proposal, and optionally add the guests names in Prepared For, and add optional Proposed Travel Dates.
*This information is all client-facing and will appear on the Cover Page of the proposal you are creating.
In the Information Pages from Content Library section, you can pull in any pages that you had already created in your Content Library. For example, you might want to include a custom Introductory Note page at the beginning of the itinerary, an About Us page in the middle of the itinerary, and a Terms & Conditions page at the end of the itinerary.
White Labeling is only relevant if you would like to apply to logo and contacts for another agency if this proposal is B2B. You can read more about white labeling here.
Click Next at the bottom of the page to continue.

Details tab
This is where you build out the daily details of your itinerary.ย
You can Organize by Date if you have firm dates or you are provisionally holding space, or Organize by Day if you just want to do a 'Day 1, Day 2, Day 3' generic itinerary.
To get started adding the details of your itinerary, click into the Date column and select whether you would like to start with an Overnight Stay, Dayroom, or Activity. For this walkthrough, we'll start start with an Overnight stay.
Next, click on the date they will be checking in and the date they will be checking out, and then click anywhere outside the calendar to continue.
In the Transfers, Flights, and Daily Activities section you can add details about... transfers, flights, and daily activities! ๐ค
*Note: We recommend keeping this short and sweet. If you want to include more lengthy descriptions of the day-to-day we suggest reading this article here.ย
In the Accommodations & Rooming section, you can type in 'Overnight' or 'Stay at' and then @mention the name of the property that already exists in your Content Library that you would like to include here.
Simply type the @ symbol to trigger a search of the Content Library, start typing the name of the property you would like to include, and you will be off to the races!ย
Be sure to follow the prompts to:
1) select a room type
2) indicate whether you would like to include the Area overview page
The system gives you the option not the include the destination overview if, for example, they are in Johannesburg at the beginning and end of their trip, or if they are in two camps in the Maasai Mara and you don't want to repeat the same information.
If you are not sure what area page is attached to the property, click the eye icon to preview the area page:
You can also click 'Choose my own' if you want to include a different Area page from the Content Library.
To add another line of services, simply click the + icon at the bottom of the table.
You can @mention other activities in the Transfers, Flights, and Daily Activities column too!
๐ Note: we recommend NOT adding in more than one @mention into the Transfers, Flights, and Daily Activities section in one column. Rather, please explore the Content Blocks solution for this.
Once you have added all the details to your Details tab, click the Next button to continue.

Have fun creating beautiful itineraries! ๐
