It's important to share a variety of emergency contacts with your guests, and these may range from DMC ground contacts to hotel contacts to your own contacts.
The best way to do this in Safari Portal is to save the individual contacts you'd like to pull in to any proposal by creating a Miscellaneous page in your Content Library. This will allow you to very quickly and easily re-use that contact information any time you need.
For example you could create a page with the emergency contact information for a DMC you work with often:
You can use the Name and Tags to be able to find it again easily later.
Now that that page lives in your Content Library, you can use the Block element within any page, itinerary, lookbook, or guest portal to pull this content in as a section within any other page, like this:
You can read more about what you can do with the Block element here.
There are a few different ways you could then pull contacts in with the Block element include:
Option 1: Pull in a blank page for Emergency Contacts within any Lookbook, Itinerary, or Guest Portal
If you've got a bunch of contacts you need to share, and you had already created those contacts as Miscellaneous pages in your Content Library, you may want to include a stand-alone page with all the Emergency Contacts they might need in once place.
To do this, simply create a blank Miscellaneous page in your Content Library and call it something like Name: Emergency Contacts and Tag: Blank Page.
Now you can pull that page into any proposal and then use blocks the pull in the contacts you need from your library.
Option 2: Add any Emergency Contacts you need to the existing Emergency Contacts section in Guest Portals
Step 1: If you are on a Tier II plan and have Guest Portals enabled, once a trip has been confirmed, click Enter Portal.
Step 2: Complete all the necessary information until you reach the last tab - the Guest Portal section.
Step 3: Under Trip Manifest, you will find a section in the inline editor called Emergency Contacts listed here.
*Pro tip: if you don't want to use this section because you prefer to have share your Emergency Contacts as a stand-alone page (per Option 1 above), then simply delete the text field and the title "Emergency Contacts" and put a space in to prevent the dummy text from showing up on the client-facing portal
Option 3: Pull in Emergency Contacts using the Block element at a different point in the itinerary
Maybe you want to include the emergency contacts on the check in day of a property, for example. You can use the block feature to pull your contacts in anywhere you like!
💥 Have fun sharing the information you need, the way you need to, as quickly and easily as possible! Thank you for being on this journey with us!
